Capri and Anacapri

Pompei and Vesuvio
Closely connected to the volcano that buried it under six metres of lava and lapillus, Pompei is a wonder to see: the ancient city rises to the sky; still in a good state of preservation, it is a clear photograph of life at the time. The archaeological site is a UNESCO World Heritage site and, together with Vesuvius, is really worth a visit.

An ancient city of the Magna Grecia known as Poseidonia, Paestum is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Here you can admire the three majestic Doric temples erected to Hera and Athena, the Tomb of the Diver and many archaeological remains, surrounded by the otherness and charm of a distant culture that is still among us.
San Lorenzo Charterhouse and Pertosa Caves
With its cloisters, courtyards, allotments and gardens, the Charterhouse of San Lorenzo and Padula is one of the largest in the world and was given UNESCO World Heritage status in 1998. Its shape is to represent the gridiron on which San Lorenzo was burnt alive and its Baroque architecture makes it truly unique.
You also cannot miss a visit to the Angelo di Pertosa Caves: their ancient stalactites and stalagmites will leave you open-mouthed.

A WWF oasis full of caves with the resurging of the Bussento River, this area is blooming with protected vegetation, breath-taking views and footpaths to take you back to the true essence of nature.
Capo Palinuro Caves
The Grotta Azzurra, Grotta del Sangue, Grotta dei Monaci, Grotta d’Argento and the Grotta Sulfurea are the most important and characteristic caves in Capo Palinuro, a rocky crag overlooking one of the most beautiful stretches of the Mediterranean coast. Every day boat trips leave the lido on gozzo, ancient wooden fishing boats, on an adventure to discover these wonders with their surprising colours and spectacular nature.
